Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity where your onsite presence will make a significant impact.

Working with the Process Engineering Leader, you'll be at the heart of our engineering activities while upholding our quality standards. We are looking for someone who is not only interested in project management and process improvement but is also ready to actively engage with production.

By aligning and simplifying our work, our Integrated Diagnostic Solutions (IDS) business unit aims to drive growth and innovation around everything from integrated specimen management to diagnostic solutions.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Define and maintain optimal process parameters for efficient equipment and production in line with quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain clear procedures for production operators, supervise and support the daily operations of production technicians

  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency

  • Analyze process failures, losses, and quality incidents, and develop preventive measures.

  • Manage change control, root cause analysis, and quality events.

  • Propose advanced technological processes and participate in equipment upgrade projects.

  • Collaborate with other BD Plants to share technical knowledge and improve efficiency.

About you

  • Engineering degree, HND/HNC qualification

  • Previous process improvement experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally in medical device manufacturing or pharmaceuticals

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and the development of standard work processes.

  • Proficiency in generating and modifying drawings, preferably using AutoCAD.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze sophisticated issues and find effective solutions.

  • Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration
