Walmart (USA) Tire and Battery Center Team Leader in Pleasantville, New Jersey
Position Summary...
As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead you will drive member service in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver safe and efficient services. You will model expertise in Tire and Battery Center and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.
What you'll do...
Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services.
Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
Maintains the Sales Floor in the Tire and Battery Center in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
Receives and stocks merchandise in the Tire and Battery Center, and organizes and maintains Tire and Battery Center by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.
Operates hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, processes member purchases, and assists in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types.
Assists management with the supervision of Associates in the Tire and Battery Center by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, teaching and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating Associates.
Communicates and explains Membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective Members to assist with account decisions, build Membership levels, encourage renewals, and promote the value of Sam's Club products and services.
Executes Company competition shopping program by visiting local competitors to check and record pricing information, communicating pricing and signing changes resulting from visits, and using appropriate tools and equipment.
Performs audits and completes audit reports by counting merchandise, researching variances or discrepancies, identifying and accounting for shrink or overages, and adjusting inventory counts.
Provides products and services to Members in accordance with Company policies and procedures by assisting with purchasing and service decisions, completing vehicle service requests and tests, operating Tire and Battery Center equipment properly and safely, receiving, storing, and disposing of merchandise and supplies, and completing and maintaining paperwork.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
