Actalent Environmental Project Manager in Pleasantville, New Jersey

Job Title: Environmental Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager/Estimator to support a variety of projects in NJ, Eastern PA, and some parts of NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing medium to large projects/contracts, which includes estimation, planning, and communication with field foreman/team. Additional oversight of budgets, schedules, managing subcontractors, change orders, and invoicing will also be required. The ideal candidate will have strong construction estimation experience, specifically in environmental remediation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects or task management on medium to large projects/contracts including estimation, planning, and issuing directives to field foreman/team.

  • Oversight and management of budget and schedule, while performing forecasting, managing subcontractors, change orders, and invoicing.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies on managed projects.

  • Manage multiple project schedules with competing deadlines and fixed-price constraints.

  • Mentor and supervise junior or project-level staff.

  • Lead and oversee environmental field investigations and remediation in accordance with approved work plans.

  • Oversee and work productively with clients and subcontractors while ensuring work scopes and safety requirements are met.

  • Prepare and/or oversee preparation of technical proposals and cost estimates.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental remediation.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or environmental science.

  • Construction management experience.

  • Strong experience with remediation.

  • Experience in remediation estimating and proposals.

  • Experience estimating and running a remediation construction crew, coordinating soil transportation and disposal, and remediation project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Site assessment experience.

  • Report writing skills.

  • Soil sampling expertise.

Work Environment

The primary work environment for this position is in an office located in Pleasantville, NJ, with the opportunity to earn hybrid flexibility. The role will require occasional travel to client sites and other locations to conduct meetings, site visits, etc., within NJ, PA, and NY. The company offers a family feel backed by a large parent company, access to multiple golf courses, fleet vehicles, and additional resources when needed for project load. The position includes 2 weeks PTO and 6 major holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $76.00
