Description
A reputable organization seeking a skilled Billing Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes to maintain our financial integrity. This temporary position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced work environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Review and verify billing information, including pricing, discounts, and payment terms, to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Process and record payments received from customers, ensuring they are applied to the appropriate accounts.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing-related issues promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to gather necessary billing information and address any concerns.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records, including customer profiles, payment history, and adjustments made.
Monitor and track outstanding accounts receivable, following up with customers on overdue payments and initiating collection efforts as necessary.
Prepare and analyze various reports related to billing activities, such as aging reports, revenue analysis, and billing discrepancies, to support decision-making processes.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts receivable balances and generating financial reports.
Adhere to company policies and guidelines, as well as legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with accounting and billing standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a Billing Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using billing and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
