Spectrum Plastics Master Maintenance Technician I in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Spectrum Plastics Group is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to work in our Pleasant Prairie, WI plant. Your commitment to work safety and product safety are essential success factors. Your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will result in maximizing uptime, efficiency and output. This is s full time position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all process and production equipment as well as general building maintenance.

  • Repair and maintain plant process, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Design, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.

  • Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and management requirements.

  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

  • Work directly with engineers, machinists, assemblers, & machine operators

  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude

  • Familiar with electrical aspects and troubleshooting electronics

  • Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions provided by manufacturers

  • Read, write, and understand English

  • Read interpret instructional electrical, hydraulic, and process systems drawings.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Prior background in manufacturing maintenance and plastics manufacturing a strong plus.

  • Good troubleshooting skills coupled with a strong work ethic.

  • Knowledge of PLC systems and control systems is a plus.

  • Self-starter with willingness to perform other related duties as required

  • Able to work overtime as required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Certificate in relevant expertise areas such as electrical, mechanical and/or other areas is a plus

    Work Experience:

  • 3-6 years of industrial maintenance or a similar environment performing comparable tasks as required for this position.
