HARIBO of America Maintenance Supervisor in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Reporting to the Manager of Production and Process Technology, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to provide supervision and support to all three shifts of the production maintenance mechanic team, and oversee maintenance operations of processes and products that safely and cost-effectively meet customer demands for quality, consistent, and on-time performance. The Maintenance Supervisor will f oster a people-centric culture and enhance employee development through effective communication, coaching, and performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with company goals and values. The Maintenance Supervisor will interact directly with management and supervision in the processing area to ensure reliability and maximized efficiency of equipment through scheduled preventative maintenance planning, as well as coordinating timely repairs and service to equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate plant equipment maintenance, including a documented preventive maintenance program and schedule, and support the plant safety goals.

  • Supervises associates engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing production equipment, support systems, and facilities improvements in the assigned areas.

  • Focus on and use relevant data for downtime events to determine root cause and required corrective actions to drive consistent, improved reliability of the equipment.

  • Manage employee relations and problem-solving processes, promoting mutual respect, engagement, and adherence to company policies, while collaborating with HR for resolution when necessary.

  • Partners with the Maintenance Planner and Technical Buyers to ensure proper inventory of spare parts for equipment and machinery.

  • Ensure all mechanics, visitors, contractors, and all other employees comply with applicable regulatory standards (safety, environmental, health), reporting any issues not immediately resolvable to appropriate manager.

  • Education of assigned team members on the proper use of tools, equipment, and resources to ensure safe use and operations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 Years of Manufacturing experience preferred in a non-union environment.

  • Minimum of 7 Years of Maintenance experience preferred in a non-union environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years Supervisory or management experience is required.

  • Strong skills in automated maintenance management systems (such as SAP or Maximo). 

  • Requires the ability to train and coach others for success.

  • Come in during off-shifts if needed for breakdowns and must be available to be contacted during off hours.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on a periodic basis to vendor or other locations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to successfully coordinate with other functions to ensure project success.

  • Available to work flexible hours and days as needed to meet business demands.

  • Strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills are required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively to various levels of the organization.

  • Excellent Time Management Skills.

  • Ability to lead, develop, direct, and hold others accountable to HARIBO’s high standards.

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills.
