Norsk Titanium Controller in PLATTSBURGH, New York
Prepares, analyzes and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis to site leadership and the Finance leadership Monitors department activities for productivity and expense controls, assisting in the creation of business cases as necessary for the procurement of additional tools and resources Develops and manages budgets and dynamic forecasts, monitors budget performance and provides variance analyses and proposes solutions to drive the business Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly financial statements Maintains the organization's five-year financial model in accordance with revenue forecasts, projected manufacturing cost-reduction initiatives and operating cost growth Supports financial reporting and analysis to support Production and cross-functional objectives; works with stakeholders to reduce costs and drive financial acumen and discipline Assists in the review, evaluation and implementation of financial systems, policies, and procedures Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents and compliance-reporting Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress Ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards, NYS grants and incentives requirements and tax reporting and works with tax consultants to ensure timely reporting, while maximizing tax advantages Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated Assists in the evaluation and reporting of direct costs and inventory Supports strategic planning initiatives with financial insights and analysis and advises senior management on financial planning and risk management Provides effective leadership and guidance to the US Accounting/Finance function, leading initiatives to address the team's performance; activity planning; recruitment, retention and succession planning; headcount needs and scheduling; employee engagement and satisfaction; etc. Identifies and recommend improvements for efficiency and process streamlining across all accounting functions Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines Experience in the implementation or improvement of ERP systems preferred Able to work independently in a structural manner, take initiative and complete processes Structure and accuracy in daily work; detail orientation, ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately Desire for collaboration and cooperation across organizations and sites High degree of integrity and honesty; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in complex and sensitive situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluent mastery of the English language Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
