Description
We are seeking a skilled Tax Manager or Supervisor for our office in Plantation, Florida. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant with their CPA to step into a managerial role with a quick growth path going forward. The role involves working within the public tax sector, supervising a team and overseeing tax return preparation. As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to the growth of the firm by applying your experience in public accounting and your skills in using various accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise a team and provide guidance in matters related to tax and accounting
• Prepare and review tax returns ranging from simple to complex
• Work with clients from various industries such as construction, professional services, real estate, retail, and wholesale distribution
• Maintain and update customer credit records
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with clients and tax authorities
• Utilize your skills in various accounting software systems such as CCH Suite, QuickBooks, and MSOFT Suite, among others
• Conduct research and draft memorandums on tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities and make recommendations
• Train team members as needed to ensure the maintenance of high-quality service
• Oversee tasks and supervise the work of the team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Tax
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
• Demonstrated ability to handle Accounting Functions
• Must have a strong understanding of Compliance procedures
