DHL Express, Inc. Communications Manager & Admin in Plantation, Florida

Directly reporting to the Sr. Marketing and Retail Manager, closely interacting with all the relevant business stakeholders and functions, the Communication Manager is responsible for:

Communications Management Responsibilities (90%)

· Add value to the organization by being responsible for connecting employees with the right information and keeping them employees engaged and updated.

· Drive internal and corporate communications strategy for the Caribbean by leveraging inputs from across the region and reinforcing the global, regional, and Caribbean strategy needs

· Developing and design of internal and corporate communications in close partnership with Human Resources and Marketing. Execute communications initiatives from concept to delivery with the support of the regional Marketing Team (newsletter, mailing, promotional material production, content/layout optimization, etc.)

· Maintain an editorial calendar (blogs, newsletters, etc.), research and develop quotes from people, write stories, shoot videos, and contribute to Smart Connect Intranet.

· Support organization and execution of employee engagement activities for the Caribbean and Area office

· Develop and execute public relations strategies relating to upcoming launches, press releases and conferences, and other innovative campaigns to position the Brand as a leader in the industry.

· Assist in writing, editing, scheduling, publishing, and developing other project deliverables related to marketing, retail, staff, and internal communications activities

· Remain knowledgeable of business unit projects to support to Caribbean Area team as needed

· Act as a point of contact and become a knowledge base for the Caribbean Express business unit

· Gather and arrange materials and relevant information for assigned project or person

· Liaise with other internal business units to execute tasks, including periodic updates of org charts

Administrative Support Responsibilities (10%)

· Provide general administrative support to the Caribbean CEO and, on a limited basis, to the Caribbean Senior Management Team (SMT)

· Manage travel arrangements, agendas, calendar, engagements, daily activities, expense reporting, supply ordering and purchase orders

· Answer calls, take messages, respond to questions, and direct callers to appropriate parties

· Prepare, organize, and track shipments in support of the Caribbean Area Office team.

· Arrange set up for leadership business events and meetings, both on-site and at other locations.

· Organize, arrange, and execute meetings, employee events, luncheons, breakfasts, coffees, and other special events

· Plan, coordinate, and administer ad hoc projects in support of the Caribbean CEO

· Summarizes, prepares, and presents findings via high-quality presentations, reports, and other documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, and similar systems

· Understand and comply with established procedures and/or protocols

Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Social Science / Communication / Marketing four-year College or University preferred or equivalent professional experience

· High level of professionalism and confidentiality

· Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously

· Excellent written, verbal, and spoken communication and presentation skills (fluency in Spanish and French a plus)

· Advanced MS Teams, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel skills, analytical capabilities, and project management capabilities required

· Experience in developing, designing, and implementing content (storytelling) for internal and corporate communication channels (digital communication like Marketo a plus)

· Knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms like Marketo / Wrike / Canva is an added advantage

· Marketing, Event Planning, and social media monitoring/publishing experience a plus

· Use of Project Management and Social Media Marketing Software a plus

Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). Requires manual dexterity and visual and hearing acuity. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Tasks are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
