Chewy Associate Director Human Resource Business Partner in Plantation, Florida

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking an Associate Director HR Business Partner! We are on a mission to become the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents everywhere. Our success is measured by the happiness of the people and pets we serve, not simply by the amount of pet supplies we deliver. That’s why we continue to think of outside-the-Chewy-box ways to delight, surprise, and thank our loyal pet lovers! To fulfill that mission, we work to drive organizational effectiveness and talent engagement with an emphasis on leading culture change at scale. This work will enable leaders to build, lead, and develop a diverse, high performing team. As the listening mechanism to and from the business, you will drive cultural initiatives, performance management, organizational design, engagement, retention, and career development all in an effort to inspire our people to love where they work. Success will mean working both strategically and hands-on, motivated by the challenge to build culture at scale, and a dedication to creating customer-centric HR solutions that ensure Chewy’s long term success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out overall HR strategies for a specific client group that drives a high-performing and highly engaged culture

  • Work cross-functionally with aligned leaders to deliver on the long-term vision for key talent initiatives, with a commitment to consistently improve effectiveness and achieve business goals

  • Drive future organizational design and change management initiatives to help maintain a high-performing, motivated, and impactful team

  • Engage with HR COEs and the business to build and execute timely, effective, and scalable people programs and processes which will support the business. These include (but are not limited to) team member relations, leadership development, talent assessment, building our hiring brand, diversity planning, and organizational development

  • Implement and continuously track to long-range growth planning that impacts the engagement, performance, training, development, and retention of our workforce

  • Partner with leaders to understand and anticipate hiring and development needs against the capabilities needed to deliver strategic objectives

  • Promote our company’s Operating Principles throughout the organization

  • Ensure organizational compliance with all Federal and State laws

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience in fast-paced, high rate-of-change environments

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in a relevant field and appropriate HR certifications

  • Demonstrable ability to influence and inspire change with leaders across agile startup organizations, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth

  • Proven success in delivering high-impact people operations programs around performance management, culture, team member engagement and retention

  • Position may require travel
