SUMMARY The Temporary Cash Specialist will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of cash transactions, with a primary focus on receiving and recording payments. This temporary position requires a high level of proficiency in Excel pivot tables and v-lookups. The role involves ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations during the processing of various payment methods, including checks, ACH, and credit cards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Receive and record all cash transactions and process payments, which includes checks, ACH, and credit cards. • Identify daily unapplied amounts and post to customer accounts. • Create account reconciliation to identify discrepancies prior to payment application. • Prepare and reformat payment files and upload them to the system. • Process Credit Card payments, provide the receipt to customers and monitor the payment application after settlement. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances in a timely manner. • Enter credit memos towards group accounts. • Prepare refunds packages and process the necessary chargebacks. • Assist customers or clients with cash-related inquiries or issues. • Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and banks to address cash-related issues. • Work on all pending payment exceptions. • Daily work and monitor JIRA tickets assigned.
