Position Details- Cytotechnologist
Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital - Plant City, FL
Facility: BayCare Health System, Cytology Services
Status: Full Time, Non Exempt
Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm (May Vary)
Occasional weekends required
On Call: No
Always in person, no remote work

The Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:
Evaluates and diagnosis Non-GYN cases for Pathologist review
Evaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.
Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including CT-Guided and US-Guided procedures.
Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.
Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.
Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.
Works independently and in a team.
Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
Use computer skills appropriate to position.
Needs to understand medical terminology.
Requirements:
ASCP Certified Technologist in Cytology
State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist
Bachelor's in related field
Bachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985
Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.
Hospital experience not required, training available
