JPMorgan Chase Sr. Quant Analyst - Data and Analytics in Plano, Texas

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst in our Data and Analytics team, you will be part of our journey of transitioning our data development, analytics, and reporting processes to modern architecture and delivery solutions backed by big data technologies, tools, and cloud computing. You will have the opportunity to use the latest analytical tools and techniques to continuously optimize every aspect of the business. This includes portfolio performance, operational efficiency, agent productivity, customer digital engagement, and other parts of the Auto business. You will be expected to take charge, think big, deliver on commitments, and help promote advanced analytics and user adoption of visualization applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to understand, synthesize and align to evolving business priorities and deliver on strategic solutions that promote successful execution on those priorities

  • Design and develop rich visualization dashboards that efficiently summarize performance metrics and KPIs and provide self-serve capability to the end-users in intuitive and meaningful ways.

  • Coordinate with multiple business partners to ensure that all business needs and projects are appropriately identified, prioritized and executed.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts and IT partners to drive adoption of cutting-edge data visualization tools and techniques to help our business leaders obtain interactive data insights and make meaningful decisions

  • Provide strategic partnership on executing on data strategy that promotes modern data architecture, governance and democratization of data access.

  • Develop and maintain expertise in data extraction, manipulation and consolidation from multiple data environments and lead data migration strategy to Big Data ingestion, development and consumption framework.

  • Lead and partner with offshore teams to drive automation of manual processes and develop higher level skill-set for advanced analytics capabilities

  • Provide positive and consistent leadership. Provide direction and support to the staff in analytics team. Motivate the team by creating a sense of purpose to meet departmental goals. Acquire, develop and retain talent with forward looking skills and expertise.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other relevant field and 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly communicate solutions/recommendations to business executives

  • Track record of executing on large scale automation initiatives using data exploration, enrichment and preparation tools such as Alteryx and Trifacta

  • Subject matter expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau and ability to identify best practices and uphold highest standards of quality in dashboards and analytical solutions

  • Experience with big data technologies and programming languages including SQL, Hadoop, Python, Spark, or Scala.

  • Develop reporting solutions and providing data analytics; perform independent research and discovery around data environments, processes and tools and provide impactful solutions

  • Adapt to new technologies and data tools and work independently as well as within a cooperative, team environment

  • Manage execution and delivery of multiple projects in an Agile manner and adapt to changing business priorities while still meeting delivery deadlines.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Advanced degree is preferred.
