JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer - Java in Plano, Texas

You will be tasked with keeping the team and key stakeholders up-to-speed on what is being developed, as well as how it will benefit our clients on our market leading digital platform and our internal private bankers and advisors. Your quest to embrace end-to-end software development will be key as we continue to move the Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) Technology organization at the forefront of industry-leading technology. Best of all, you will be able to harness the massive amount of innovation and thought leadership of our global team of technologists from around the world.

This role is in our brand new Technology Center in Plano, TX where AWM Technology is growing by 200 roles per year over the next three years, providing lots of opportunity for your career to grow and grow.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with remote business and technology teams.

  • Communicate clearly, effectively on both technical and business level

  • Participate in the design effort, work efficiently on projects and meet deadlines.

  • Test the applications diligently before the application is deployed to production.

  • Support application in production.

Qualifications - Internal

  • 5 + years of experience in programming with expertise in Core Java.

  • Exposure to the usage of the following frameworks/software's

  • Required

  • Knowledge of Server side development, micro services with Java 8 and above.

  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Spring JMS/MQ)

  • Knowledge of distributed systems

  • Rest services with Spring Boot

  • Knowledge of DBMS, No-SQL (Cassandra) and relational database and SQL (Oracle/Sybase)

  • Working knowledge of Linux, Unix shell and Pearl scripting

  • Agile methodologies (Scrum)

  • Preferred

  • Spring Boot

  • Cloud foundary / Cloud services

  • Oracle

  • Maven

  • Working with Git, Control-M, JIRA

  • Knowledge of Spring Boot

  • Good to have

  • UI Experience.

  • Self-starter with proven ability to produce end results with minimal assistance.

  • Ability to deliver under pressure and work to aggressive timescales.

  • Experience of working in Global teams

  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Excellent analytical skills, especially pertaining to data analysis

Bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science discipline preferred
