As a Global Solutions Architect for SecOps, you’ll be responsible for the details of how to work with our platform in Security Operations environments. You will not shy away from difficult challenges as it relates to cybersecurity integrations and optimizations. You are the technical authority and will interact directly with our customers and professional services consultants and engineers to keep their digital environments secure. You will listen to customers, work with sales and understand the market to develop the best security operations services, evolve our platform services as capabilities change and create the content our internal staff and partners will use to perform these engagements and enable the customer's staff. While experience on the company’s platform is desired, even more important is having a solid foundation in security operations' processes and capabilities.
This position supports our consultants globally. Work from your home office and be near an airport for required travel.
Customize and develop services to enable integration and optimization of Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform into the customer’s SOC, with innovative technical solutions and runbooks.
Provide technical assistance during pre-sales by demonstrating our ability to excel in the delivery of security operations projects.
Maintain expert-level knowledge on Palo Alto Networks products, solutions and capabilities as they relate to security operations.
Refine our services for efficient consumption by the PS organization and partners.
Develop internal IP to assist consultants and partners with delivering world class security solutions
Become known as a thought leader in the operations of security technologies provided by Palo Alto Networks.
Create enablement and shadowing opportunities to assist our consultants to expand their skill sets.
Ensure delivery of PS offerings on time and under budget
Creation of internal solutions to assist with knowledge management.
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams on new products and features to ensure Professional Service technical readiness.
Be a subject matter expert (SME) and a go-to technical resource for Palo Alto Networks Platform SecOps.
Develop and coach appropriate team members
Travel (50-60%) for internal meetings, pre-sales support, and shadowing and customer engagements (Post COVID-19)
Bachelors, or equivalent technical security experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience simplifying complex solutions, preparing content and presenting to executive staff
Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the industry, the customer’s business issues, and the most appropriate solution architecture to meet their business goals
6+ years experience with Endpoint security solutions, Cloud Security solutions and/or Network security solutions
2+ years experience with Security Operation Centers tooling and processes
Experience in incident response/threat hunting is a plus.
2+ years experience in deploying/integrating security solutions into security operations processes in large environments
Experience developing complex technical solutions
Ability to effectively juggle and manage many different tasks simultaneously
Ability to lead specific customer projects
Ability to execute/document solutions by self or as a team leader
Demonstrated project leadership skill
Experience with technologies such as: IDS/IPS, SIEM, SOAR, CI/CD Security is a plus.
One or more of the following industry certifications: CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, PCNSA, PCNSE is a plus.
