Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time Production Assembler role to join our growing and dynamic Production team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

The successful Production Assembler candidate will be part of a team working to expand a strong and proven concept that has solid growth potential, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder value. You will be responsible for performing intermediate to advance electro-mechanical assembly operations and basic job set-ups.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The successful candidate will have the ability to challenge the organization effectively, resolve problems, and willing to provide a hands-on approach in finding solutions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.   • Assemble component parts into sub-assemblies and complete fixtures including complex wiring using proper crimps, ties, and loops

  • Perform functional test procedures as appropriate

  • Read and comprehend a bill of materials and drawings

  • Perform set-ups using basic tools, jigs, and tests

  • Review equipment protocols necessary within setup with a sense of complexity

  • Other job duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The  Production Assembler  will be an experienced candidate who can successfully lead as a very hands-on Production Assembler to scale for additional growth and maximize potential.

    This candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of testing, repair, and manufacturing procedures and systems.

  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.

  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.

  • Monitoring/assessing your performance to make improvements or take corrective action.

  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.

  • Ability to speak clearly so others comprehend the delivery of the message.

  • Ability to solder through hole and surface mount components.

  • Ability to read and explain schematics.

  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs occasionally.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required.

    ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES: 

    The Production Assembler will prioritize and broadly execute the following:

  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, complex technical issues in a clear, concise matter, to individuals with little or no technical background.

  • Ability to take initiative by identifying problems, conceptualizing resolutions, and implementing change along with having attention to detail skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects to ensure all deadlines are met is essential.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with details and fluctuating work volumes.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Physical Demands

  • Keying, typing, sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 50lbs.

  • Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in a manufacturing environment.

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.

  • Compliance with company attendance standards.

  • The noise level in the work environment is intense in manufacturing settings and moderate in other situations.
