Nursing Supervisor (RN) Medical Surgical Oncology Full Time Days
Fast-paced, high volume Medical Surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?
Work location : Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093
Work hours : Full Time Days 40hrs/wk
Department Highlights: Medical Surgical Oncology (20 Beds) - Medical Surgical Oncology patients, chemotherapy patients, blood transfusions and highly complex biologic drug infusions. You will have the opportunity to become chemotherapy/biotherapy certified.
Here’s What You Need:
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
BSN preferred
CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
2 Years’ experience as a registered nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) Required
RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
ONS – Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate 18 months Req
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained Annually 90 days Req
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Engages staff to promote evidence-based practices within the unit
Monitors key performance indicators (KPI’s) and regulatory requirements for compliance
Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality patient care
Provides guidance in emergency or complex situations
Use appropriate methodology consistently for communication handoffs
Manages and monitors patient and staff safety initiatives and outcomes
Models the use of High Reliability Organization (HRO) tools in everyday practice and situations and encourages to do the same
