Element Materials Technology Field Test Project Manager in Plano, Texas

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Field Test Project Manager . This role is a key function in servicing our clients by ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to their demands, delivering efficient and excellent performance. The Project Manager has daily responsibility to technically supervise testing operations and give clear technical guidance as necessary across a wide range of the laboratory's testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Executing field test cases focused on the voice and mobility network inter-operability on new and/or existing devices

  • Performing data performance testing on multiple RATs

  • Investigation and logging of common technical issues found during tests and submit daily reports

  • Capturing logs of new and existing issues found in the field, document the issues and steps for reproduction and/or escalate the issues with Team Lead and/or development engineers for resolution

  • Other Field Test responsibilities, as assigned

  • This job requires travel up to 50% of the time

Skills / Qualifications

  • Candidate must be enrolled in Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or any other technical field with emphasis in Telecommunications systems preferred

  • Good understanding of different wireless technologies such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, CDMA, HSPA etc.

  • Software testing experience and technical education relating to device hardware will be preferred

  • Familiar with basic concepts of wireless data protocols: GPRS/EDGE, USPA, GPRS, networking infrastructure or other packet based networks

  • Experience working on Qualcomm and MTK chipsets for logging and software debugging is a plus

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
