Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Human Resources Compensation Department is growing and looking for a passionate and highly motivated Compensation Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to be a representative of the Compensation team that supports leaders grow their organization and help maintain competitive reward programs for the salaried population.

Reporting to the Manager of Compensation, the person in this role will work closely with HR business partners, employees, and management to consult and develop compensation solutions for approximately 15,000 Toyota North America employees in the US.

This position is based at our North American Headquarters in Plano, Texas, with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work. Speak with your Recruiter and the Hiring Manager to learn more about our hybrid work program. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of Plano. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you’ll be doing

  • Consult with HR Business Advisors on compensation program development and execution in support of business initiatives (includes job evaluations).

  • Provide compensation education to build HR’s knowledge of compensation concepts and practices.

  • Execute compensation programs and projects to support Toyota North America business initiatives (e.g. market competitiveness, program and structure alignments, compensation guidelines, policies, pay equity, recognition).

  • Complete annual market surveys.

  • Examine compensation trends and develop recommendations supporting business initiatives.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) OR equivalent professional work experience relevant to this position.

  • Strong data mining and quantitative analysis skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (assessment will be administered).

  • Proven ability to work and create effective partnerships with executives and business leaders across multiple functions and teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and consultative skills.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems.

Added bonus if you have

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing compensation theory, principles, and practices to perform an independent analysis of programs using market data.

  • Experience with market pay tools / software.

  • CCP Certification.

  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS.

  • Experience conducting job evaluations using the Hay methodology.
