Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Fast-paced, high energy Lab department is looking for a top skilled Clinical Lab Assistant. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics/Surgery, 6020 West Parker Rd, Plano TX 75093

Work hours: PRN - Monday-Friday - 6:30am - 3:00pm OR 9:00am-5:30pm

Diagnostic/Surgery Department highlights:

  • Self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

  • Wave testing only laboratory

  • Shifts are M-F days

Here’s What You Need

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency

· Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy

· PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred

What You Will Do

· For those entities performing phlebotomy ; employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient

· Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines

· Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens

· Follows established laboratory test procedures

· Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
