JPMorgan Chase Auto Legal Specialist Officer in Plano, Texas

Put your skills and experience as a contracts specialist to good use as a vital member of the legal and business teams executing strategic transactions for Chase Auto.

As the Legal Specialist Officer on the Auto Legal team, you will work with attorneys on complex and innovative transactions that are a top priority to the success of the Chase Auto finance business. You will be relied on for your subject-matter expertise in contract management and transaction support. We are key contributors to the deal teams for Captive Finance Private Label, Dealer Commercial Services, Securitization and Vendor Management transactions. Job Responsibilities

  • Create template forms for use in transactional matters

  • Write contract letters, other communications and notices

  • Prepare summaries and initial drafts of contracts, amendments and exhibits for attorney review

  • Manage preparation and circulation of contracts for client and third-party review and comments

  • Assist attorneys with contract negotiations

  • Track status and revisions of contract inventory

  • Support Chase Auto Third-Party Oversight activities

  • Perform initial review and impact assessment for Legal and Regulatory Change Management (LRCM) monthly new developments; coordinate review and responses by attorneys; and participate in monthly LRCM calls with stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • College degree required

  • 5 + years' experience as a subject matter expert in contract and transaction management

  • Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, including contracts

  • Excellent legal analysis and research skills

  • Superior attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize and enhance team performance in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Paralegal certification

  • Strong Excel and Word skills
