Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc. Rider Reach (RR) Forklift Operator - 1st and 2nd Shifts Available in Plainfield, Indiana
- Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment (Rider Reach Forklift) to unloadshipments safely and move product to locations and efficiently move product from outbound staging areas into trailers for shipment.
- Efficiently picking orders and assembling product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage.
- Using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, Processing and loading function, put-away and loading functions, as required.
- Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on the GEMOne System
- Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment(Rider Reach Forklift) in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.
- Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion ensuring that product can be efficiently picked.
- Label product to the Grainer specifications
- Performing other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to operate and maneuver a Rider Reach (RR) Forklift
- Ability to read, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly
- Ability and/or knowledge of various processing functions or willingness to learn
- Ability to support DC Operations by performing operational tasks including truck loading in addition to processing or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with RF equipment and JDA preferred
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 30 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to follow directions
- Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative and dependability with a good attendance record
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
