Job Description Summary
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities) • Responsible for monitoring assigned quality system performance through established metrics and/or quality objectives. • Address under performance and escalate with appropriate leadership, as needed. • Collaborate with functional process owners to train, mentor and/or facilitate QMS requirements, continuous process improvement. • Maintain awareness of and follows applicable corporate quality procedures. • Responsible for quality systems as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring application and compliance to the following Quality Systems in a manner that meets the scope of storage and distribution processes. o Holds and product disposition and movement within the WMS/SAP o Zero Escape o Intracompany Claims o QMS Audits o Metric Data Analysis o Operations Support o DR License o SME for ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, and Corporate Policies / Procedures when appropriate. • Responsible for ensuring site is meeting the terms and obligations of local wholesale drug licenses as the designated representative. • Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other positions to assist in times of urgency, breaks, absences, or vacation.

Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Operations in the Medical Systems Division of BD by performing quality control activities on medical devices during all stages of production. The position involves working under supervision to perform inspection functions required for the manufacture of medical devices using various gages and measuring equipment. In addition, this position may also require the use of computer systems to record and generate quality data.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing product quality non-conformance records (NCR’s)
Perform real time visual inspections at the process level.
Generates quality data reports and distributes them to appropriate personnel.
Assist in investigating non-conformances identified through the manufacturing process.
Provide feedback to the Production Department regarding quality issues affecting manufacturing operations.
Maintain accurate records of quality data generated during inspections or testing of products.
Communicate information concerning product quality to management and other departments as needed.
Prepare, package, sterilize, and ship specimens.
Work safely within established guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of FDA regulations related to medical device manufacturing.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills.
Good communication skills.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
Ability to communicate technical material to both technical and non-technical people.
Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
