Context/Scope:

You will be responsible for leading EHS costs and working closely with the Leadership Team to run the overall site budget. You will ensure that Diageo Risk Management policies, procedures, programs and systems are fully and consistently implemented and integrated into site operations. You will monitor and report the site Risk Key Performance Indicators (critical metric), including environmental data and safety incidents. You will work with all site functions to identify risks and ensure these risks are mitigated.

Purpose of Role:

The ability to engage, lead and develop individuals and teams is crucial for success in this role. You will develop Diageo culture, principles, people and values in line with corporate objectives. As a key member of the Diageo Leadership Group, you will provide support, direction, training and coaching to employees on site. You will influence employee understanding and decision making to advance Diageo safety and health programs.

Key Outputs:

  • You will ensure that Diageo Risk Management policies, procedures, programs and systems are fully and consistently implemented and integrated into site operations.

  • You will monitor and report the site Risk Key Performance Indicators (critical metric), including environmental data and safety incidents.

  • You will work with all site functions to identify risks and ensure these risks are mitigated.

  • You will be responsible for leading EHS costs and working closely with the Leadership Team to run the overall site budget.

  • Lead programs to align with Food Safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • University/College Degree, or qualification in one or more of the Risk areas

  • 5 years experience in a relevant production environment

  • Knowledge and experience in facility compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety laws

  • Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred

  • Project Management experience

  • Demonstrated leadership capability

  • Able to lead and provide strong authentic leadership and build trusting relationships

  • Able to manage people for success – set objectives, define roles, assign tasks, lead, coach, develop and motivate employees as well as remove barriers to set people up for success

  • Exhibits outstanding team building skills

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills:

  • Excellent communication skills Ability to influence, persuade, convince
