Pittsfield Community Television Production Technician in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Work schedule: Part-time non-exempt, 15-25 hours weekly Flexible schedule as needed to be approved by Operations Manager Evening, holiday and weekend work as required Job Requirements - One year of post-secondary education, training, and/or related experience - Basic knowledge of video and audio production techniques - Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation - Must be able to transport production gear to location shoots - Ability to lift minimum of 30 lbs. - Ability to perform flexible work hours - Ability to cooperatively work with people - Ability to communicate ideas clearly in speech, writing Job Responsibilities - Videography during PCTV-controlled productions, including meeting coverage, remote single- and multi-camera shoots, and outside broadcast events. - Operate channel automation as instructed by Operations Manager. - Perform nonlinear video and audio editing as assigned. - Assist with set up of remote productions when assigned, including single-camera events, and at remote control rooms at Pittsfield City Hall and truck-based mobile productions. - Participate in studio production as a program engineer, including proper lighting, camera placement and shading, audio, graphics, recording, and other program requirements. - Radio: Assist members with live and recorded production. - Serve as nighttime production manager with responsibilities for building security, safety of the members using the facility on your shift, and protection of the facility equipment. Responsibilities shared with all staff: - Monitor live and remote programs for problems and correct if possible. - Report facility conditions or problems to supervisor, engineer and Executive Director - Enforce company guidelines, station policies, and supervisor directives. - Perform any assigned tasks as requested by supervisor or Executive Director
