Barrington Stage Company is seeking a House Manager to join our team in Pittsfield, MA for the summer season. Duties: - Oversee and schedule the House Management team which includes the Associate House Manager, Front of House Interns, and Concession Attendants - Ensure the safety and comfort of our patrons while at the theatre - Train ushers and otherwise prepare the house to open for each performance - Oversee concession operations, reporting, and inventory - Oversee volunteer confirmations and rescheduling - Create a welcoming environment for all of our patrons when they arrive and enjoy a production at our theatres - Uphold sanitation practices to keep our spaces clean and safe Skills: - House Management or extensive patron services experience, including face-to-face contact with patrons. - Strong organizational skills - Ability to work with grace under pressure while making quick decisions - A love of helping others - Flexibility to bounce between different spaces and tasks - A valid driver\'s license (access to a car for the summer is preferred) This position is seasonal from June 4, 2024 to September 13, 2024, with some flexibility to dates. Pay is \$800/week plus housing. This position reports to the Associate Director of Audience Services and will work primarily nights and weekends.
