US Import Customs Trade Analyst - JR2415429

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Import Analyst , you will monitor the daily operational management of PPG's centralized U.S. import operations. The position will routinely work with PPG associates, external suppliers and Customs brokers to ensure efficient, cost minimized imports in accordance with US Customs regulations and PPG procedures. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily US import clearances and operational activities and maintain Customs import record requirements. * Identify, develop, implement and track benefits of process improvement opportunities. * Import cargo track and trace and provide updates to the Business Units on ETA. * Responsible for analysis and determination of root cause of documentation and customs clearance delays. * Responsible for broker management which includes performance measures and monitoring compliance in meeting customer delivery timelines and Customs requirements. * Develop and maintain the operational SOPs, and support import training programs and ongoing communications for associates, suppliers and brokers. * Handle audit programs including performance metrics and compliance monitoring.

Qualifications * Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred) or related degree, with additional education and/or certifications a plus. A U.S. Customs Broker License is very strongly preferred. * 3-5 years of proven experience in imports, international trade, supply chain, logistics or related business role is required, with Canadian import operations experience desired. * Comprehensive understanding of reporting tools, BI reports, and driving critical metrics. Advanced MS Office and Excel skills with ERP software proficiency. * Successful communication with all levels of the organization; take responsibility; drive change; attention to detail. * Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and people management skills in dynamic work environment are a must.
