Temporary Research Assistant

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Inclusion (PRI) Lab in the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology is seeking a temp graduate research assistant who will provide research support for between 8-12 hours per week from early March through June 2023. The position could be extended to August or beyond subject to work performance. The research assistant will work under supervision of Dr. Ikenna Ebuenyi, Assistant Professor, RST. Applicants should be personable, have strong writing and biostatistics skills, and a passion for helping others. Responsibilities: The student temp will assist with undertaking ongoing research related to psychosocial rehabilitations for person with psychosocial disabilities. The research assistant will conduct a variety of activities including, but not limited to:     • Assist with participant recruitment, screening and scheduling via email and/or phone     • Assist with designing and administering survey questionnaires     • Enter/transcribe study data into a research database     • Assist with collecting, managing and analysis of quantitative research data     • Assist with preparing data for analysis, and conduct preliminary analysis     • Maintain current training and research ethics certification Educational Requirements:     • Background in biostatistics, epidemiology or public health     • Mixed method and systematic review research experience and proficiency analyzing large data sets     • Experience preparing manuscripts for publications Experience: Human subjects research experience preferred, general research experience acceptable; preferably have knowledge, coursework and/or practical experience working with older adults and/or people with disabilities; must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet); SPSS/STATA , ATLas.ti and qualitative data analysis experience are essential. Successful candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and should excel at time management and problem solving.
