Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for transacting the monthly financial processes, maintaining policies and procedures for all accounting operations, and assisting in providing documentation and review of external audit requests. You will also be responsible for subsidiary accounting of intercompany transactions and the preparation of consolidated and entity-specific financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Transact the monthly financial processes, ensuring transactions are properly classified

• Report internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Maintain documented policies and procedures for all accounting operations

• Support monitoring and continuous improvement of internal controls including process and policy design, accounting systems, recordkeeping, and documentation

• Assist in providing documentation and review of external audit requests

• Work directly with external auditors

• Handle subsidiary accounting of intercompany transactions

• Prepare consolidated and entity-specific financial reporting

• Support the executive management team in the preparation of operating forecasts, budgets, or special reporting by collecting, critically analyzing, and consolidating financial data

• Consolidate financial data in conjunction with a deep understanding of historical financial information trends, and performance. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential

• Strong understanding of Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Manufacturing processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
