TEKsystems Senior Network Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Heavy Firewall Experience - Palo Alto preferred or something similar. Must have experience managing a firewall. Install, upgrade and maintain a firewall
Experience with Network equipment - any brand is fine. Extreme Networks is what they will be implementing.
o TCP/IP stack fully
o Build and managing the network
o Network Access Control (NAC)
o Network Address Translation (NAT)
o All networking protocols, scorching, routing – what protocols connect to what; decoding packets; analog vs. digital; VoIP / telecom / IP-based a huge plus; RF WiFi design – basic understanding of how it works in an enterprise – middleware, identity, network admission control, denial service attack/mitigation. Deep understanding of the OSI Model.
o IP – VLANS, virtualization, MPLS, BGP, connect to internet service providers; quality of service; spanning tree; packet prioritization; core edge data center; research network; science DMZ – research vs. enterprise network and differences – understand security surrounding.
10 yrs experience in Network and Telecommunications as a Network Engineer or Admin.
