Ridgway Center Administrative Support
The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs is seeking a qualified Administrator for the Ridgway Center for International Security Studies. Working closely with the Director of the Ridgway Center, the Administrator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Center, developing and implementing Center programming and events, and sharing ideas for new initiatives, programming, and outreach. The Administrator will work with affiliated faculty and external entities to develop and execute Center programming and events, overseeing all event logistics including event promotion and social media. In addition, the Administrator will oversee the Center's budget and expenditures, and in partnership with Dean's Office staff, will support the submission of proposals for sponsored project funding. The Administrator will be responsible for all internal and external communications, which includes management of the Ridgway Center website and social media accounts, reviewing and posting content. The incumbent will be responsible for the creation and management of all research databases utilized by Center faculty and students. The Administrator will help oversee and provide continuous review of the student working groups and other student assistants that work on behalf of the Center. The Administrator will identify and implement opportunities to increase the effectiveness of existing Center operations. The Administrator must exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to operate independently and efficiently with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. This position requires strong administrative support skills and the ability to take initiative. Strong written communication, event planning, and database management skills are required. Knowledge of University policies and procedures is strongly preferred.
