Planner I

Planning, Design, and Construction oversees campus development, including capital planning, architectural design, construction, signage, and space planning services, to

advance the institutional mission through place-making.

Job Summary

Provides support for land-use studies, space planning, and assists with program development for capital improvement projects. Establishes and maintains campus space standards, prepares campus-related reports, and attends community meetings.

Essential Functions

Supports land-use studies and space planning. Assists with the development and implementation of programs for capital improvement projects. Coordinates with campus community, neighborhood groups, and other related personnel on projects as assigned. Maintains campus space standards; verifies zoning requirements; assists with the acquisition of leased spaces. Prepares reports related to space, the overall campus, and other planning topics; provides information relevant to community meetings.

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
