DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Description Vitalant is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientists II to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity blood bank laboratories. This position will work in the Training Department and will be responsible for competency trainings of staff in our hospital lab locations. This position will work in the field traveling to various hospital locations.
What to Expect Schedule: Monday - Friday no weekend/holidays. Shift varies depending on staff being tested. (Days but will need to work EVE/NIGHTS as needed to accommodate all staff).

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist Trainer, you will need to be proficient in: * Performing high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match. * Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
Requirements * Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required. * Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required. * State licensure as required by regulations. * Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or BB Certification required. * Experience in developing and conducting formal training preferred.
