We're seeking a future team member in the role of Mainframe Operating Systems Engineer to join our TECHNOLOGY SERVICES GROUP INC team. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Support mainframe system environment. Knowledge of mainframe hardware configurations would be needed.  This would be used to configure mainframes through the HMA and use HCD to create new IO gens. Support of third-party vendor software used in the mainframe environment. Be able to install and maintain various software packages. Experience with interfacing with vendors to provide information needed to resolve incident cases. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Would have an excellent knowledge of mainframe system internals -- z/OS, JES, TSO/ISPF, USS, etc Knowledge of SMP/E and zOSMF would be needed to install and configure various mainframe products and components. Programming knowledge is a plus, especially assembler and REXX. College/Technical Degree with 8-10 years' technical experience with increasing responsibilities and knowledge and expertise. Knowing mainframe Db2 operational and processing perspectives with distributed WEB access, SQL performance and tuning, and Db2 operational problem determination skills.
