POSITION PURPOSE:

The Clinical Lead works closely with the Practice Administrator, colleagues and clients and is responsible for overseeing the clinical care and coordination of treatment. Carrying an individual direct care caseload as assigned and working closely with the outpatient department management chain-of-command, this position serves as a clinical lead by providing group and individual direct clinical supervision of clinicians and services as well as providing oversight and management of clinical concerns and needs on the unit. The Clinical Lead uses their clinical expertise to review and ensure services offered and supporting documentation is of sound quality and is responsible for initiation, development, and delivery of performance goals and key performance indicators with clinical and other support staff to ensure high standards of care are regularly provided to those we serve.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Direct Care: 50% of the Clinical Leads time is providing direct care to persons served.

  • Clinical Quality: Clinical Leads are responsible for the soundness of the department by providing clinical oversight of colleagues, creating/implementing clinical trainings, and regularly auditing the electronic health record to ensure clinical documentation/case management.

  • Clinical Supervision: Clinical Leads provide clinical supervision to assigned Adult Outpatient Clinicians and/or Clinical Interns within designated team. Supervisions provide technical support to promote/improve clinical skills, implementation of program and organizational expectations, review of caseloads (time management, documentation, regulatory requirements, etc.) and additional supports as needed. Clinical Leads review, approve and sign off on client treatment plans. Clinical Leads also provide licensure supervision to applicable clinicians within the department.

  • Client Consultation & Coordination of Care: Alongside the Practice Administrator, Clinical Leads plan and facilitate Clinical Treatment Team Meetings where cases are reviewed for consultation and promotion of appropriate therapeutic interventions and clinical practices. Clinical leads also schedule, facilitate and document MD case consultations and ensure that clinicians are optimizing coordination of care amongst the internal and external treatment team members.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALILFICATIONS:

  • Master's in Human Services and 3 years of clinical experience with ability to supervise staff towards licensure. Graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.

  • Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency.

  • Is licensed as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist or Psychologist in the state of PA.

  • Applicant is responsible for ensuring all requirements for licensure are kept up to date and maintained within guidelines of their accrediting board.

  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen

Work Schedule: This is an Exempt (Salary) position. Monday-Friday daytime, with one evening per week, with the flexibility for further evening to meet the needs of persons served and colleagues.
