Job Title: Grants & Contracts Specialist III
Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Mon-Thurs onsite and Friday REMOTE

Overview:
A top-ranked research university is currently searching for a Grants & Contracts Specialist for one of its growing departments to perform Pre- and Post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts. Responsibilities:
Performs pre- and post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts.
Prepares, negotiates, and monitors grants, contracts, and budgets.
Maintains award-related schedules, prepares complex government applications and reports, and interprets policy and procedure.
Monitors account activity, performs internal audits, resolves complex issues, and reviews routine financial documents.
Develops and implements accounting techniques and procedures for operational improvements, assists with managing special projects, and prepares operating budgets.
Will work with Industry Sponsors and Foundations.
Will prepare and meet regularly with faculty/supervisor to review financials.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Some knowledge of clinical trials and grants is highly preferred
At least a year of accounting, financial administration, and/or compliance is required
Strong attention to detail
