Engineering Intern - Electrical / Power

We are seeking Electrical Engineering Interns with an interest in power distribution for our office location in Pittsburgh, PA.
Our summer internship program at HFL cultivates future engineering professionals, looking to gain hands-on, real-world experience to enhance their education and professional skills. It's an opportunity for students to get to know us and for us to learn about them.

What You'll Get to Do:
Support a variety of engineering tasks related to mechanical system design.
Learn basic principles of electrical system design, focused in power, lighting, telecom and security systems.
Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.
Learn to how to perform basic engineering calculations.
Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.
What You'll Need:
Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.
Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Academic coursework that is relevant to electrical and power systems is preferred.
Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.
Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
