Xylem Director - Talent Management in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Global Talent Management Director is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive talent strategies to build organizational alignment and capabilities, strengthen leadership pipelines, and foster a culture of growth. This role focuses on optimizing talent identification, development, and processes globally, ensuring the organization remains competitive in an evolving business landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Talent Management

  • Design and implement a global talent management strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and drives business success.

  • Lead the development of frameworks for talent identification, assessment, and development.

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and manage enterprise critical roles and incumbent talent.

  • Establish best practices for high-potential programs and talent reviews.

Leadership Development & Succession Planning

  • Manage the Enterprise Talent Review process, inclusive of succession and high-potential identification.

  • Create and oversee leadership development initiatives to ensure a robust leadership pipeline.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of talent development programs and adjust as needed.

Talent & Development Partnering

  • Develop and execute soft skill training plans for assigned functions.

  • Support functional talent review processes.

  • Partner with HR leaders to solicit nominations for development initiatives and programs.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Define and track key global talent management metrics, including succession adherence, internal mobility rates, and leadership diversity.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the executive team to support talent-related decision-making.

Indirect Team Leadership

  • Coach and develop a team of two peers to execute talent management strategies effectively.

  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture based upon Xylem’s High-Impact behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years leading a talent management and leadership development function.

  • Experience working in a global company and leading enterprise programs.

  • Proven expertise in succession planning, talent management and leadership development.

  • Deep understanding of global workforce trends and cultural differences.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform strategy.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.

Salary range:

$121,800.00 - $219,200.00
