We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Disbursements Product Management to join our Treasury Services Domestic Payments Product team leading the Disbursement Team. This role is located in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for the strategy, commercialization and execution of priorities across our consumer disbursements platforms, which enables Bank, NBFI, Government Agencies, Corporates and Fintechs to send money across various channels and use cases to millions of consumers and small business. You will lead a team of product managers and collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations to deliver products that solve customer problems and create value for our business. You will also be responsible for setting the product vision, strategy, and goals, and communicating them effectively to internal and external stakeholders. You will have full ownership of the commercialization, go-to-market, and profit and loss of the products, and ensure that they meet the market needs, customer expectations, and revenue targets. You will lead the commercialization and product usage of Consumer Disbursements (Payee Choice and Wallet offerings including Vaia, MoCaFi, Tokenized Payments via Zelle and additional wallets), Disbursements for Instant Payment Rails (RTP/FedNow) and Check Disbursements. Responsibilities Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for consumer disbursements, aligned with the company's mission and objectives. Lead and mentor a team of product managers, and foster a culture of customer-centricity, innovation, and collaboration. Lead the team in defining and prioritizing product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and work with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality products in an agile environment. Conduct market research, customer interviews, user testing, data analysis, and competitive benchmarking to validate product assumptions and identify new opportunities. Partner with the Treasury Services Relationship Management and Business Development Teams in cross selling and commercializing the products across different client segments. Measure and report on the performance, adoption, and impact of the products, and use data and feedback to inform product decisions and improvements. Manage stakeholder expectations and relationships, and communicate product updates, roadblocks, and achievements to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Plan and execute the commercialization, go-to-market, and profit and loss strategies for the products, and collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to ensure successful launch and adoption. Manage product governance, risk and all relevant vendors used to deliver these services to the clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 12+ years of product management experience, preferably in the fintech, Treasury servi es payments, disbursements, etc. Proven track record of leading and launching successful products that solve customer problems and drive business growth. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, and ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders across the organization. Deep understanding of the consumer disbursements market, customer needs, pain points, and opportunities. Experience with agile product development methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with commercialization, go-to-market, and profit and loss management of products, and ability to optimize product performance, pricing, and profitability. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $265,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
