Clinical Research Coordinator

The University of Pittsburgh, Ophthalmology Department in the Vision Institute is seeking a passionate and organized individual to jointly serve as Community Service/Remote Access Research Coordinator. In this collaborative role, you will play a vital part in ensuring access to essential eye care services for underserved populations and patients facing barriers to access in Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas.

Flexibility required to work evenings and weekends as needed to support community service events.

Specific scheduling details: to be discussed during the interview process.

A BS or higher in a Science/Medical major required. Medical experience preferred.

Job Summary

Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.

Essential Functions

Your responsibilities will encompass the following:

    • Community Service Program Management
    • Oversee Vision Institute Community Service and Remote Access Missions
    • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
    • Implementation Science Mission
    • And other responsibilities as requested

Physical Effort

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to multitask, and have focused concentration.

May need to work some evenings or weekends.
