Associate Director, Constituent Relations
The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement PAE at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the Universitys mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Associate Director, Constituent Relations.
In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAEs department of Pitt Alumni Association PAA, reporting to the Director, Constituent Relations.
Associate Director oversees Greater Pittsburgh regional engagement and supports student to alumni connections including serving as an advisor of the Blue and Gold Society. This position is responsible for aligning engagement strategies to advance PAE's mission that aligns with the priorities of the University.
Key responsibilities include:
- Curation of On-Campus and Pittsburgh Regional Programming:Develop and execute engaging events for alumni, utilizing effective communication skills to build relationships. Tailor programs to enhance alumni involvement, support student development, and foster connections between students and alumni. Collaborate with University departments, local partners, and colleagues to identify engagement opportunities, leveraging experience in strategic planning, project management, and resource alignment. Use data-driven strategies to evaluate and improve programming, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Manage Greater Pittsburgh Regional Volunteers:Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for University initiatives, showcasing strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Act as a liaison between volunteers and the University, ensuring clear communication and support. Foster connections between local alumni and students, increasing volunteer participation, with a flexible, interculturally competent, and collegial style.
- Advise and Support Blue and Gold Society Student Volunteer Leaders:Provide strategic guidance to align activities with the PAA mission, fostering leadership and professional development among student volunteers. Collaborate with student leaders to create initiatives connecting students and alumni. Manage day-to-day operations, including meetings and project implementation, with flexible working hours. Job Summary
Performs all administrative and operational functions of a program. Coordinates all program events and personnel and provides services directly to customers. Develops and implements program policies and procedures. Performs budgetary functions and oversees media communications, website updates, and newsletters.
