Carnegie Mellon University Assistant Track and Field Coach (Part-Time), Athletics - Division of Student Aff in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 2022363 Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a part-time, Assistant Coach in its intercollegiate Track & Field program. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program.

Core responsibilities will include:

Working exclusively with the pole vaulters and combined event athletes

Demonstrate competency in pole vault skill and technique instruction, motivation, ability to conduct practice sessions under the direction of the head coach, weightlifting, meet management

Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student-athletes

Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport programs goals set by head coach

Leadership ability and professional behavior when working with student-athletes

Assist head coach with organization and implementation of daily practice sessions and games

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required

1-3 years of athletic coaching experience required with pole vaulting experience

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
