Assistant Program Director Job Summary

Manages administrative, business, accounting, budgets, and all-ongoing activities associated with an academic program. Develops and implements program and strategic plans. Designs and supervises communications, website, and technology related to the program.

Essential Functions

The Assistant Director of Academic Programs will have principal responsibility for administration of all ICRE degree-granting programs and, as needed, selected career development programs. They will directly and independently supervise the support staff for these programs. They will partner with faculty leaders to develop and implement policies and systems that ensure compliance with University regulations and provide for consistent treatment of all students. The incumbent must manage the interface among ICRE degree programs, career development programs, and systems for tracking student and trainee outcomes. They will work closely with faculty leaders and the CRHC Data Center in the design and implementation of critical computerized applications for ICRE administration.

Finally, they will work with Division colleagues to oversee communication in a variety of forums: social media, eNews Boards, advertising, and they will make sure that any promotional materials used for program promotion and recruitment are in line with the ICRE's image and goals.
