Assistant Director, Principal Giving Donor Experience
The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement PAE at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the Universitys mission in education, research, and healthcare. We invite you to become a pivotal part of our team as the Assistant Director, Principal Giving Donor Experience.
In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAEs Principal Giving department, reporting to the Senior Director, Principal Giving and Campaign Initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Donor Experience Management: * Serve as a strategic advisor to enhance donor experiences and build new engagement avenues. * Focus on high-end, top-tier donor experiences. * Primary responsibility for the Pittsburgh Speakers Series PSS, with Pitt as the presenting sponsor. * Collaborate across functions including PAE Events, PAE Communications, PAE Donor Relations, fundraising units, the Office of the Chancellor OTC, and senior leadership. Customer Service and Relationship Strategies: * Facilitate outstanding customer-service requests. * Create personalized, relationship-based strategies to maximize philanthropy from a curated group of donors and prospects. Pittsburgh Speakers Series: * Coordinate strategy and logistics with the Senior Director. * Develop a programmatic calendar aligned with university priorities. * Manage event logistics with PAE Events and CSS. * Serve as the primary PAE representative with Cambridge Speakers Series. * Collaborate on print materials and event logistics. * Assess the impact of the Speakers Series. * Coordinate and distribute tickets for lectures. Principal Giving Donor Experiences: * Manage logistics for principal gift celebrations, school and center namings, milestone celebrations, and groundbreakings. * Handle logistics for small, focused parlor events and campaign-related donor experiences. * Review and approve event-related marketing materials. * Draft and manage approval processes for briefings, itineraries, and key documents. * Prepare post-event analysis and recommendations. * Maintain detailed reports and records of events. * Manage database input for guest registrations and correspondences. * Collaborate with DRS, PAE Special Events, and the Alumni Association on invite lists and event development. Financial Responsibilities: * Process or approve transactions. * Monitor or prepare budgets. * Generate income for the University. Campaign Duties: * Partner with the Principal Giving team for personalized donor engagement. * Facilitate meaningful interactions with the Chancellor, senior leadership, Deans, academic leaders, faculty, and key supporters. * Assist with logistics for signature campaign events and senior leadership engagements. * Develop and execute donor engagement opportunities for campus visits, regional campaign planning, and major events. * Manage special projects related to the Chancellor and OTC. * Perform other duties as assigned. Job Summary
Oversees all aspects of planning, design, and execution of multiple, small routine projects or a moderately complex project. Assists in developing timelines and e sures adherence to deadlines. Manages financial aspects of projects and other administrative duties. Handles external correspondence and drafts reports and other communications.
