Posting Summary | Research Assistant Professor and Technical Director for the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research at Rutgers University The Rutgers Brain Health Institute (http://brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu/) is recruiting a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor in human neuroimaging. The highly skilled individual will also have an appointment as the Technical Director for the Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research (CAHBIR) on the Busch campus in Piscataway, NJ. The position requires a doctoral degree (PhD) in a science relevant to neuroimaging, and at least 10 years of post-doctoral technical or research experience related to magnetic resonance imaging. Relevant sciences may include Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biological Science or Neuroscience. In addition, we prefer candidates with direct experience in a management role within a research MRI center. The candidate must bring expertise in MRI hardware, and be capable of trouble-shooting problems as they arise. Experience with the process of bringing a new magnet online is an essential requirement of the position. Substantial experience in pulse sequencing is required, as the successful applicant must be able to assist in the introduction and optimization of a range of sequences for the scanner. We prefer candidates who have experience with In Vivo MR Spectroscopy. We expect that candidates will have experience in federal grant writing to substantially contribute to the generation of shared instrumentation grants and assist with research grants as appropriate.
