Work location is onsite in Bell's Piney Flats, Tennessee facility.

Design, Project, and Foreign Validation Engineer

You will be working withaerospace design and verification processes to include develop and verification, preliminary and detailed design, MRP, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement and Maintenance processes.

You will evaluate Aircraft Configuration Reviews, Foreign Country Requirements/Regulations, Evaluate and Obtain STC validations from Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities to support aircraft deliveries.

Design and develop new products. Create detail, assembly and installation drawings containing overall dimensions and basic design of parts for the development of systems, parts of aerospace (STC) kits and customized design.

What you’ll be doing as a Foreign Certification and Design Engineer:

  • Conduct Validation/Technical Reviews with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (FCAA).

  • Ensure certification and design meets the criteria for acceptance into the foreign validation country for which the aircraft will be delivered to.

  • Development drawings and reports for new product development or revise existing documents to meeting FAA compliance to the Federal Regulations.

  • Analyze and evaluate an existing installation of a kit to determine fitment issues, manufacturing, design issues to allow fielded customers to have the solution or fix.

  • Oversight of Projects from Concepts to Certification to support new product development. This includes design, program reviews, manufacturing, conformities, analysis, testing and certification when needed.

  • Provide technical solutions to engineering department and broader business

  • Design and/or analyze products and processes for engineering department

  • Serve as a technical lead on special projects and assignments

  • When required, lead special projects or efforts in department area

  • Research and evaluation product support issues and questions, determine the solution

Qualifications

Skills You Bring to this Role:

  • Ability to prioritize work, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.

  • Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.

  • Proficient in Autodesk (AutoCAD and Inventor) or similar CAD packages and MS Office

  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Excellent Verbal and written communications skills.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or other related Engineering Degree.Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

  • At least 3 plus years of work experience directly related to Manufacturing Engineering, or Aerospace Certification or Aerospace Foreign Validation experience. Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing is preferred, but not required.
