Pinconning Area Schools Food Service / Warehouse Driver in Pinconning, Michigan

Type of Work:
To deliver food, supplies and equipment to buildings, mail interoffice and drop off mail to post office as needed. To serve food at Pinconning Advancement Academy. Pick up and drop off bank bags to banks as needed. Properly store grocery deliveries on Monday & Wednesdays, along with produce on Tuesdays. To maintain warehouse and grounds in an organized, safe and attractive, natural environment to enhance the learning opportunities of students.
Time Required:
- 8 hours per day.
- Monday -- Friday
- 8 am -- 4:30 pm or as directed by the Food Service Director and/or Superintendent of Schools.
- Summer Hours:As assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications:
- Must be a high school graduate or have a GED certificate.
- Must have a minimum 10th grade reading level and be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Good character, sound personal habits, good work attitude and attendance record, physically fit. .
- Able to work without supervision and maintain composure and self-control with staff, students and visitors.
- Must be able to operate all warehouse equipment and pass all required tests.
- Able to lift 75 lbs. and perform heavy work on a regular basis.
- Must have a valid chauffeur's license and a good driving record.
- Must be Safe Serve Certified or complete the training within a reasonable amount of time for food handling.
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Forklift endorsement, experience in maintenance/warehouse procedures, custodial/grounds duties, and lawn care equipment.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
