Technical Program Manager

The Technical Program Manager is responsible to help us maintain our position as a leader in the specialty door and window market that delivers supreme customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and have a demonstrated ability to lead the completion of tasks on a project. The candidate will be responsible for the complete lifecycle leadership of highly complex projects that deliver enhanced feature and product benefits from inception through production as well as driving innovative R&D projects to completion.

What You Will Do:

Project Management:

  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks.

  • Review technical information provided by the customer through Regional Sales Managers for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturing concerns.

  • Create detailed drawings that meet the requirements and specifications of the customer and define the product for manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing to achieve a design that meets customer requirements and can be manufactured efficiently with in-house capabilities.

  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.

  • Monitor all project activities and work in accordance with the approved timeline and quickly resolve issues that impact the timely delivery of the project.

  • Deliver project releases to manufacturing meeting individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

  • Provide guidance to Regional Sales Managers on feasibility and risks associated with projects that require design features and requirements that are new to Krieger.

R&D

  • Design, develop, research, test, analyze, and evaluate new and modified products, processes, and services to meet business requirements.

  • Execute research & development (R&D) projects from initiation to completion.

  • Research, evaluate, and select potential suppliers, vendors, and consultants.

  • Analyze and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and diagrams.

  • Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions.

  • Provide technical expertise and consultation to internal customers and suppliers.

  • Develop and audit test plans.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 7+ years of project management experience leading low to high complexity projects from customer requirements through delivery to customer

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related field required

  • 2D CAD experience in the detailing and design of product components and assemblies (AutoCAD preferred)

  • 3D CAD experience with experience in assembly modeling, sheet-metal component modeling, and drawing creation required

  • Experience with executing projects in a manufacturing environment (custom sheet-metal product manufacturing experience preferred)

  • Exemplary attention to detail with prior examples of delivering projects meeting time, cost and quality metrics

  • Proven knowledge and experience in conducting research, designing product solutions, and presenting findings/results

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to find creative solutions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range $90,000 – $110,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
