Army Installation Management Command Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) NA-02 in Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey

Summary This position is seasonal with projected start date in April 2024. AN ONSITE HIRING EVENT WILL BE HELD FOR THIS POSITION ON 2/12, 2/28, 3/20, and 4/4 FROM 3:00PM - 6:00PM AT THE CLUB AT PICATINNY ARSENAL 121 BUFFINGTON ROAD, PICATINNY ARSENAL, NJ 07801. THOSE ATTENDING MUST REGISTER HERE AND BRING THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, PHOTO ID, WORK AUTHORIZATION (AGES 14-17) AND PROOF OF EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS. BE PREPARED TO INTERVIEW! Additional hiring event scheduled 4 April 2024. Responsibilities Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc. Prepares/slices lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables for sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Orders fast food items, condiments, and other necessary supplies. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. 7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials be will not paid, contingent upon eligibility.
