Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a BW Technical Developer in Wharton, NJ.

Actual Work Location:

Picatinny Arsenal, 213 NJ-15, Wharton, NJ 07885

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The SAP Developer - BI/BW provides support to the BI/BW process as the SAP BI Functional/Development BW Expert.

  • Manages complex business and system analysis for current and proposed entSAPrise application environments.

  • Conducts translation of business area customer information into detailed entSAPrise application design.

  • Interacts with customer to perform analysis of alternatives and provide recommendations.

  • Conducts the preparation of programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for entSAPrise application modifications and installations.

  • Requires extensive knowledge of relevant application and computing environments and application development tools/languages.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of SAP experience with three in Federal Financials / Public Sector Accounting

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • ECC experience in functional areas

  • Strong BW Data modeling experience, ETL processing in SD,IMWM,ACQ, PS

  • Strong BW Data modeling experience to combine data from different DataMarts into one InfoProvider for reporting

  • Experience in ABAP in ECC/ BW to able to maintain various routines/user exits

  • Strong Experience to debug, troubleshoot issues & performance tuning with custom enhancements in BW, identifying & applying OSS notes, ETL network optimization

  • Extensive experience in Reporting using Business Objects tools: Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboards, Analysis for Office using BICS

  • Extensive experience in creating Dashboards with data filters, importing/exporting excel, formatting, jumps to WebI

  • Experience with Crystal reports/Analysis for Office/Lumira

  • Experience in creating promotion jobs in CMC, schedule/maintain BusinessObjects reports through scheduler, use publications

  • Strong experience in Query Designer, Web Designer, Report Designer

  • Knowledge of HANA concepts

  • Integration experience with portal, training, BASIS and infrastructure teams desired

  • Understanding the business requirement and developing functional/technical specs

  • ECC 7.0, BW 7.3 & BO 4.0/4.1/4.2 experience must

  • Experience to independently work on end-to end Performance troubleshooting and tuning (Modeling/Reports)

  • 2 years of LMP experience in BW/BO

  • Data modeling experience in BW datamarts-Operations, Acquisition, Master data

  • Experience in Standard/Adhoc BEx reports, WAD/ Report Designer in areas of Inventory & Acquisition

  • Experience in LMP lifecycle process to include development of CRD/CDD/QA Test Script/functional/technical specs etc.

  • Experience in LMP BW Network monitoring including daily/weekly jobs

  • Experience to work with other teams such as Solution Delivery on peer reviews, design reviews etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Army project experience a plus

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
